This weekend saw the opening of the 13th Ipswich Sea Scout improvements project, which we have been working alongside members of the group in this, design build project for some time.
The project was in 3 phases, first, internal alterations to form a new kitchen and a set of toilets, the second to re-roof the building and the third, an extension. The extension brings the re-shaping of the facilities together, creating a meeting room and an ‘Accessible’ toilet and shower room.
The Scout HQ is now fit for the 21st century, accommodating the Scouting need along with the needs of other organisations in the community. The ‘Accessibility’ features make it suitable for all to use.
D.C.Construction Ltd has been involved with this Design and Build project from its inception some 8 years ago. We worked with the group to ensure the building fulfilled its needs and functions well with the varied demands. We designed the phases so the building could still function and the work progressed alongside the fund raising. At all times we ensured that the design gave value for money without compromising quality where it matters.
We believe that by using D.C.Construction the 13th Ipswich Scouts have benefitted from our expertise and now have facilities that they can enjoy and prosper as a vital part of the community.
